Consultations are run at both the Harleston and Eye surgeries on an appointment system, each appointment being 10 minutes long.
Our appointment times are as follows:
Monday - Friday: 8.30am-10.00am, 2.00pm-3.00pm & 4.00pm-5.00pm
With additional surgeries:
Monday-Friday: 1.00pm-1.30pm & 5.00pm-5.30pm
Appointments can be made for routine procedures such as vaccinations and check-ups, or they can obviously be made if your pet is unwell. Our nurses also run clinics alongside our vets at the Harleston surgery – please see the nurses page for details of the type of appointments they offer. Alternatively you can ask our receptionist when you make your appointment if you think it may be more appropriate for you and your pet to see one of our nurses.
If it transpires during the course of the consultation that your pet needs more attention than we feel we are able to give in a 10 minute appointment, we may ask you to either leave your pet with us for the day so a more detailed examination can take place or it may be more appropriate for us to book a longer appointment slot at a different time.
Our consultation fees are priced on a sliding scale and check up appointments are charged at a lower rate than the primary consultation. Some procedures have their own fee and some types of consultation (e.g. taking stitches out after an operation) do not carry a charge at all!
